SERIES: Salute Your Best Employee

As we close out our month-long series of salutes to great employees, we heard from one boss who couldn’t choose just one person to commend.

Warren Gibson of Ontario Laundry Systems chose two key people on his team to call out for extra praise. We asked him what makes a good employee.

“Anyone who works hard on a regular basis and you know that they always do their best not to let you down,” he said. His two picks for our series exemplify those traits.

Just because he’s praising these two publicly doesn’t mean he’s shortchanging anybody else in the company. Indeed, he makes a habit of expressing his gratitude to his team on a regular basis.

“I personally call or speak in person to our staff every Friday to tell them we are grateful for all their hard work this week and send them into the weekend with a smile on their face,” he said.
